Heavy weighted blanket in hospital-grade PU
Stimulation with a heavy weighted blanket
Sally is a heavy weighted blanket weighing 6.5 kg, developed for sensory rooms, Snoezelen rooms, institutions, and care homes. The comfortable weight can help reduce restlessness and overstimulation while supporting calm and body awareness.
Sally can be used in several different ways. When the user is lying on their back, the blanket can be placed over the stomach, chest, or legs. When lying on the side, the blanket can be wrapped around the body to provide a comfortable and enveloping sensation.
This makes Sally a versatile weighted blanket that can be adapted to different needs and preferences.
Weight and body awareness
Sally may be particularly suitable for people with sensory challenges or motor restlessness. The evenly distributed pressure stimulates the proprioceptive sense and can contribute to a clearer awareness of the body.
A heavy weighted blanket can therefore provide valuable support during breaks and rest periods when fewer sensory impressions and greater calm are needed.
User-friendly heavy weighted blanket
Sally is made from hospital-grade PU, which is resistant to thorough cleaning and wiping with disinfectants such as alcohol. This makes the blanket suitable for professional environments with strict hygiene requirements.
The shorter design makes Sally easy for staff to position and move. As the blanket does not cover the entire body, it can also be an alternative for users who feel uncomfortable under a standard weighted duvet.
Sally is designed for breaks and rest during the day. The blanket should be used following an individual assessment and preferably in consultation with relevant professionals.

“Resident A has physical and intellectual disabilities, severe epilepsy, and uses a wheelchair. At times, A experiences significant motor restlessness and has difficulty relaxing the body. The weighted blanket has helped A relax and find calm in the body. A has benefited from the blanket during rest periods in bed. Staff have observed an effect shortly after the blanket was placed over A. As A does not use verbal language, it has not been possible for A to describe the effect personally. Staff have therefore interpreted A’s non-verbal communication and observed how A relaxes and rests. The experience with the weighted blanket has been positive, and it will continue to be used.” – Testimonial from an institution in Thisted Municipality
